Tasting Note: This is a best of the best if you like. It’s an equal blend of the best barrel of the 2018 Monopole Shiraz and the 2018 Old Garden Mourvedre. Layer upon layer of flavour profiles are stacked to the ceiling in this wine of remarkable power, concentration, and depth. There is distinctive liquorice and gravelly plum with an ironstone savoury character emerging too. It’s then thick and dense yet with a stylish effortless delivery. A tremendous wine from a very good vintage.
