First created in France in 1875 by Edouard Cointreau, Cointreau is made from a blend of sweet and bitter orange peels, alcohol, and sugar. Cointreau is widely used in cocktails and is a key ingredient in many classic drinks, such as the Margarita and the Cosmopolitan. It is known for its smooth, sweet taste and distinct orange flavor.
