Taylors is one of Australia's best loved and most trusted wineries, located in the Clare Valley of South Australia. The Taylor family vineyard was established in 1969, inspired by the intensity of flavour and structure of a first growth Bordeaux and by the future potential of the Clare Valley, which they had come to refer as the 'Promised Land'. Today with 750 hectares of land Taylors' wine ranges - Promised Land, Eighty Acres, Taylors Estate, Jaraman and St Andrews - are exported across the world and are synonymous with quality and consistency, a regular winner at national and global wine competitions. Three generations since the first vineyard was purchased the Taylor Family are regarded as pioneers within the Industry for the development of the Clare Valley region, their part in the screwcap initiative and for their environmental focus with the Eighty Acres range. This is the the world's first 100% carbon neutral range of wines based on a complete cradle to the grave Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) compliant to ISO14044. The Taylors look forward to continuing these practices across more of their range in future, in order to continue passing their family legacy onto future generations.

Mitchell Taylor - Managing Director & Winemaker:
Following proudly in the footsteps of his father Bill Taylor and grandfather Bill Taylor Snr, Mitchell Taylor was appointed Managing Director of Taylors Wines in 2000. Prior to formally joining the family business in 1988, Mitchell completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of NSW, before undertaking his Bachelor of Science - Oenology at Charles Sturt University, graduating in 1995.
Mitchell's passion for the wine industry has led him to work in all facets of the family business from export and finance to, of course, winemaking. While studying, Mitchell remained firmly in the family picture, working at the winery throughout the 1980's and completed vintages as a winemaker from 1989-1997. Today, Mitchell oversees all aspects of the business, which includes still having a very hands-on role at the winery.
